Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 (SM-T311) appears at the Bluetooth SIG, it’s Europe-bound

The Bluetooth SIG has recently approved a new Samsung tablet, model number SM-T311. According to a previous report from SamMobile, the SM-T311 is the Wi-Fi version of the unannounced Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 (while the 3G version is the SM-T310).

Mere days ago, the Wall Street Journal has hinted that the Tab 3 8.0 would be officially announced in June – one month before the Galaxy S4 Active and the Galaxy S4 Mini smartphones. Since we are now seeing the device over at the Bluetooth SIG, a June announcement does seem highly probable.

The SIG suggests the SM-T311 is made for Europe (see here), but I’m sure Samsung will also want to release the new tablet in North America and Asia.

Just like the Galaxy Note 8.0, the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 will be available only in white for the beginning. It will run Android Jelly Bean, apparently featuring a 1280 x 800 pixels display, and a quad-core processor. It’s said that the tablet is really thin, measuring only 209.6 x 112.1 x 6.95 mm.

In case you’re disappointed by the 1280 x 800 screen resolution of the Tab 3 8.0, you should know that a Galaxy Tab 3 Plus is in the making, too, and it should come with a 10.1 inch, 2560 x 1600 pixels display. This, however, will be probably announced in September.
