Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition launches in the US on October 10

Announced at the beginning of the month – alongside the Note 3 – the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition will be released in the US on October 10. Customers will be able to find it at Samsung Experience Shops, Samsung.com, Best Buy, Amazon, Walmart, PC Richard & Son, Tiger Direct, Fry’s, and other retailers. Pre-orders will start tomorrow, September 27.

For some unknown reason, Samsung has added a hyphen to the tablet’s name, so now it’s officially called “Galaxy Note 10.1 – 2014 Edition.” If you don’t care about that, you probably want to know how much the new Note 10.1 costs. The 16GB model will be offered for $549.99, and the 32GB one for 599.99. Both will be Wi-Fi-only, coming in two color versions (at least for the beginning): white and black.

“The Galaxy Note 10.1 – 2014 Edition builds on Samsung’s innovative tablet foundation. With its advanced functionality and expanded features, the Galaxy Note 10.1 – 2014 Edition offers a best- in-class tablet experience that enables new conveniences to empower users to excel in everyday tasks,” said Nanda Ramachandran, vice president of emerging business at Samsung Telecommunications America.

3G and LTE versions of the new Note 10.1 will be available later this year.
